What ResumeMode does

ResumeMode is an AI-powered resume tailoring tool. You upload your resume, paste a job posting URL, and our AI generates a tailored version of your resume optimized for that specific role. The service is provided through our website at resumemode.ai.

Your account

You need an account to use ResumeMode. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. One person, one account. Automated signups or bot accounts are not allowed.

Acceptable use

Use ResumeMode for its intended purpose: tailoring your own resume for job applications. You agree not to:

Upload resumes belonging to other people without their consent.
Use the service to generate fraudulent or misleading credentials.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems.
Resell access to the service or use it on behalf of others commercially without our written permission.
Upload malicious files or content that violates any law.

Payment and billing

ResumeMode offers free and paid plans. Free accounts get a limited number of tailored resumes per month. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Polar.sh. You can cancel anytime from your account settings, and your access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months, but if something goes wrong, email us and we will make it right.

Prices may change with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until the end of their billing cycle.

Your content and intellectual property

Your resumes belong to you. Period. You grant us a limited license to process your resume content solely for the purpose of providing the tailoring service. We do not claim ownership over anything you upload or any tailored output we generate for you.

The ResumeMode brand, website design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them.

AI output and accuracy

Our AI generates suggestions and tailored content based on your resume and the job posting. You are responsible for reviewing all output before submitting it to employers. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is perfectly accurate, complete, or suitable for every situation. Always review and edit the tailored resume to ensure it represents you honestly.

Limitation of liability

ResumeMode is provided "as is." We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or that the AI will always produce perfect results. We are not responsible for job application outcomes, hiring decisions, or any indirect damages arising from using the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. If we terminate your account for a reason other than a terms violation, we will refund any prepaid subscription fees on a pro-rated basis.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
